Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

Cinnamon rolls that are soft, sweet, filled with a buttery cinnamon-sugar swirl, and topped with a creamy glaze. Perfect for breakfast or a cozy treat, these rolls are made by rolling a rich dough, spreading it with cinnamon and sugar, and baking until golden. Instructions

  1. In a large bowl mix dry ingredients(flour, sugar, salt). Create a well and set aside.
  2. Combine milk and melted butter in heatproof bowl. Mix in yeast and allow to proof. Add eggs.
  3. Pour wet ingredients in to dry ingredients. Stir and knead.
  4. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface and knead dough for ~5 minutes.
  5. Put dough back into large bowl, cover with clean kitchen towel, and allow to rise for 10 minutes.
  6. Combine sugars and cinnamon for the filling.
  7. Cut dough into 2 even pieces. Knead the piece of dough and roll into rectangular shape.
  8. Spread softened butter over the retangular piece of dough and sprinkle/spread the fillings.
  9. Roll the dough and cut into 12 pieces using clean thread/floss.
  10. Repeat process with remaining half of the dough.
  11. Place rolls on baking pan, cover with towel/foil, and allow to rise for 60-90 minutes.
  12. Combine icing ingredients and cover and place in fridge to chill.
  13. When rolls have doubled in size, bake them at 300F for 25-30 minutes.
  14. Once rolls are fully cooked, remove from oven and drizzle the icing on them with a spoon.
  15. Allow rolls to cool down and drizzle remaining icing on the rolls again.
